Africa’s Tallest Skyscraper Takes Shape In Malindi

Watamu Beach in Kilifi county, Malindi town is set to host Africa’s tallest building which will dwarf the rest of other tall skyscrapers in the continent.

Below are some facts you need to know about the structure dubbed,Palm Exotjca , which will be overlooking  Malindi Marine National Park.

  1. Palm Exotjca will be towering to the clouds with a huge 61-storeys, 370 metres
  2. The structure is set to host one of the deluxe and high class casino which will operate 24 hours.
  3. It will also serve as a tour hotspot in the coastal region
  4. Rome-based architect Lorenzo Pagnini who designed the state of art building borrowed heavily from traditional art motifs.
  5. The tour destination hub will host a shopping mall, night club and a 270-bed hotel
  6. Besides, it will also host atleast 180 serviced apartments, office suits and hotels and conference halls
  7. The dream of the tower will be realized through the efforts of entrepreneurial believers from New York (United States), South Africa and 89-year-old Italian billionaire Franco Rosso.
  8. The 370 metres Palm Exotjca will dwarf Nairobi’s tallest tower 195-metre-high Britam Towers as well as Africa’s tallest skyscraper the 223-metre Carlton Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa
  9. Palm Exotjca will also eclipse Nairobi’s The Pinnacle (300 Metres), the then to be Africa’s tallest building by 2019
  10. This high end multi-billion masterpiece of business will be open to all and sundry who will be able to afford its price tags.
