So, he has been unable to train with the rest of the team to date after suffering from a food poisoning.

MTN claimed that he feel ill after eating a fruit salad with the rest of the Nigerian team and his father has since paid him a visit.

“He suffered from food poisoning and so was not part of the training,” his coach, Samson Siasa confirmed the case.

His condition is stable, he concluded.

Iwobi was in contention to start against Egypt in Africa Cup of Nation Qualifier AFCON on Friday night but that looks unlikely.
