Michael Jacobs is back and his time he is not taking his battle to the streets but rather in the court rooms.
He is also not taking on his student nemesis Babu Owino but rather the University of Nairobi and the Attorney General. Michael Jacobs and other expelled students from UON are suing the Attorney General and the University for what they terms as an abuse of power and say in their court papers that the decision to expel them is unjustifiable and beyond rules of natural justice.
Other students in the suit are Harold Mugozi, Elwak Benedict, Mark Ojwang, Anthony Otieno, Raymond Bramuel, Paul Ayanga and Arthur Oriwo.
Michael Jacobs himself is fresh from police custody and had been released on bond after he was arrested and charged with the destruction of the university property including the burning of school property.
In their argument to have the expulsion sentence suspended, the students say that no CCTV footage was availed to show which students participated in the destruction of the property.
