Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has exposed individuals who have been leaking his private phone calls with top government officials .

The flashy governor who has been trending due to recent demolition spree, was speaking to a local radio station, Milele FM where he spoke majorly on issues touching on land grabbing, corruption, demolitions and Nairobi’s next deputy governor.

On his recent phone conversation leak with Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu over the arrest of his wife Susan Wangare who was leaked to approving compromised buildings, Sonko said that it was his ‘boys’ who recorded and exposed it.

“Wenye kuleak hi hawa vijana wangu, hawa wenye wanapiga piga makamera maana mimi huwa nao kila mahali

Sonko said adding that they wanted to see if Kiambu boss alias Baba Yao would bribe him in exchange of his wife who was in custody.

Sonko who has been working alone since Polycarp Igathe resigned at the beginning of 2018, said that four women were on the shortlist of becoming Nairobi County deputy governor.

“I have four names but I am still conducting consultations because Jubilee belongs to the leadership. There is Agnes Kagure, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, Karen Nyamu and Jane Weru,” Sonko said
