Cleophas Oluoch, the celebrated Ramogi TV presenter, and Nicole Caroline Omollo are gearing up for their white wedding shortly after having a beautiful traditional wedding (nyombo) in Kasipul constituency, Homa Bay County. The couple, who met back in 2017 during their university days, have now formalized their union after eight years of love and companionship.

The traditional wedding ceremony, which took place on Saturday, July 19, was a grand event attended by family, friends, and colleagues who gathered to celebrate the couple’s joyous occasion. Cleophas shared insights about the Luo dowry traditions and gave tips on building a strong relationship.

When asked about the dowry payment, Cleophas revealed that he paid 10 cows and one goat, in keeping with Luo customs. “I took 10 cows, and I was allowed to take her. I also gave one goat as per the Luo traditions,” he said. Although he declined to specify the monetary value, his adherence to cultural practices was clear. The couple’s traditional wedding comes almost three years after their introduction ceremony in 2022, and they are now preparing for their white wedding.

The Ramogi TV presenter also opened up about their family life, sharing that he and Nicole have a young child who recently turned one and a half months old. Looking ahead, he mentioned plans to focus on raising their family and nurturing their careers after their upcoming white wedding.

Cleophas fondly recalled how they first met on campus in 2017. “It was in March, just a few days before my birthday. During the cake-cutting session, I was asked who I wanted to do it with, and I mentioned Caroline’s name. After that, rumours started, and later, we became an item,” he said. The couple graduated together in 2020 and have been inseparable ever since.

On the subject of maintaining a successful marriage, Cleophas emphasized the importance of communication and honesty. “We have to be very intentional in all that we do. I belong to many groups besides work, and I always inform my wife whenever I have meetings. Having open conversations and honesty is what we believe in,” he shared. He also advised young couples not to rush into marriage but to take the time to truly understand their partners to strengthen their bond.

Fans and followers took to social media to congratulate the couple, flooding the comments section with heartfelt messages. Ogada Willis wrote, “Congratulations, bro👏👏👏,” while Selly Kadot Amutabi simply said, “Congratulations!” Others echoed similar sentiments, celebrating the love story of the media personality and his wife.

In a romantic gesture, Cleophas proposed to Nicole in March 2022 after five years of dating. The proposal took place at the Qaribu Inn Hotel in Nairobi and was witnessed by close friends, marking another memorable milestone in their journey together.

The couple’s love story, from campus romance to traditional wedding celebrations and upcoming white wedding, continues to inspire many, showcasing the beauty of enduring love and cultural pride.
