Dead man believed to be born 1303 BC was issued with a passport before he could be allowed on plane.
The man named as The Mummy of Remesses II was aided to France via his care taker or guardian.
The care givers wanted to take his remains to France for exhibitions but contemporary law would not allow for international transport of human remains without proper identification. Hence a passport was granted for a man dead before millennia.
The mummy of Ramses 11, the pharaoh who ruled ancient Egypt some 3250 years ago was also set to undergo special treatment on his body that had started to develop a decay.
Ramses II ruled Egypt for 67 years.
