The cruel hand of death, one by one plucked horribly a nuclear family four- Father, Mother, Son and daughter within days.
The first to be stolen by death was the daughter Grace Wambui Gikonyo, who succumbed to short illness at Avenue Hospital on July 10th in 2018.
Her death deeply sent the remaining family members into deep depression. Nonetheless, the evil death used another means to take the remaining three days later.
On August 30th in 2018, death waited Peter Kimani Gikonyo, wife Ziporrah Muthoni Gikonyo and their son David Gikonyo Kimani at Kinungi!
A reckless driving Subaru car hit their vehicle on the side, sending their car out of the road and into the ditch along the roadside.
The dad and the mum died on spot after their airbags failed to flash out while the son died while receiving treatment.
Shockingly the Subaru car which was being driven with less care, had lives of the driver and passenger safe despite the fact that the Subaru car was greatly damaged as compared to the other car. The two are so far recovering from the accident in a hospital.
The burial of the three members was prepared at their home in Ruiru, Nairobi outskirt where the late daughter was also laid.
“It is not easy but we are getting our energy from the lord. An accident like this one didn’t come to us without God’s notice; it didn’t come through the back. He knew and he allowed it to happen,” said a family member.
