Demichelis Faces Suspension After Guilty Of Betting- Martin Demichelis has not only had a poor defensive form but also a poor conduct of discipline and disobedience to football rules. Manchester City’s Demichelis has been charged for misconduct in relation to betting.
The English FA has revealed that the player has been accused of committing 12 breaches of FA Rule E8 concerning football matches between 22 January 2016 and 28 January 2016.
However, there is no suggestion that the charge relates to any of the 25 league and cup games in which the Argentine has featured for the Citizens this season.
New rules which came into force at the start of the 2014-15 season stipulate players and coaches are prevented from betting on any worldwide footballing activity.
Demichelis now has until 5pm on April 5, 2016 to respond to the charge and could be fined or suspended by the English football governing body if found guilty.
Demichelis stepped up after a long spell of their Captain, Vincent Kompany on injury sidelines. The Belgian International has then handed Demichelis a straight starting lineup.
Demichelis became the center of talk when it comes to defensive loop holes on the defensive errors committed by the citizens.
During the Manchester derby, he costed his teammates when the youngster from United dribbled and him after Demichelis could not contain him. This mistake resulted into a direct goal.
It should be noted that Man City’s defense is the most expensive line despite having a good number of mistakes that have costed them the title campaign.
