An airline had to drop a woman off the plane before reaching her destination. The flight from Washington to Dallas made a forced stopover in Nashville, due to the flatulence of the passenger.
The passengers reported a strange smell of burning and somewhat unpleasant; The woman was lighting matches to try to see the smell. The authorities decided that the plane should be diverted to land in Nashville.
Security teams intervened after the forced landing. Evacuated the passengers and a group of dogs trained in explosives detection checked the plane.
The dogs found remains of burned matches under a couple of seats of the aircraft, right where the woman was sitting.
The FBI interrogated the passengers until the woman confessed that she had been lighting matches to hide the smell of her flatulence. The police found out that “she suffers from a medical condition that prevents her from controlling her gas.”
