In 2024, Vincent Mboya, a Canada-based YouTuber, caused a stir online by claiming he was in a relationship with influencer Georgina Njenga. He shared screenshots of conversations and money he allegedly sent her, promising to spoil her on Valentine’s Day.
Following the viral leak, Georgina Njenga clarified that she and Mboya were never in a relationship. She revealed that at the time, she was dating someone else. The influencer said Mboya’s posts had serious consequences on her personal life.
“Why do you guys keep… do you know that guy made me get dumped by my ex. My ex was so mad at me because there was a photo he posted with tattoos and everything. He even left me. I cried so much, and that is why I lost so much weight. I loved him, but we never had anything, I mean, never like clock it,” she explained.
Georgina blocked Mboya after the screenshots circulated. Mboya reportedly begged her to unblock him through the Nairobi Gossip Club, claiming he had Valentine’s Day gifts for her. She ignored his requests and maintained her stance.
The influencer also revealed she is not currently dating. “That’s a tricky question, but I am not dating officially. I also don’t see someone officially, like I don’t have someone that can come up and say I own you, but I’m good. In short, I am not dating anyone,” she said.
Fans reacted to her statements on social media. Some sympathized with her experience as a single mother navigating public scrutiny, while others questioned the meaning of “never like clock it.” A few noted her personal struggles, including weight loss and challenges with alcohol.
The incident highlights the risks of online claims and how social media can affect personal relationships. Georgina Njenga’s clarification emphasizes that public narratives can differ from reality, and she has urged followers to respect her privacy.
