It hasn’t been long since I received a call from a guy who is supposedly “my friend”. Well that’s how I would like to think of it. Truth of the matter is that guys are dogs. Not to sound too cliché though, but hey I said it.
Firstly I would like to begin this by apologizing for my infamous sentiments earlier, but hey this world is crappy anyway and I’m not the first to say that right?
Ok… so before we get all lovey duvey and another dog ruins our moment I still maintain in the words of the lonely and heartbroken “guys are dogs” and let’s face it some dogs are nicer than others, some behave better than others depending on whether it’s on a leash or not..Do you have your dog on leash? Ok I’m kidding but one of many things that I have observed is that a dog is a man’s best friend…We all agree right? And I have also heard someone say birds of the same feathers flock together…well does it apply to dogs too?.. “Thinking”
Like I was saying I received a call from “my guy friend” yesterday evening. It was round 9pm after a horrific day of dodging sex crazed maniacs in the busy city central, my phone rang vigorously as if someone of value or significance to my existence was downing to my moments of mere absenteeism to the retrospect , I picked up the phone after it rang twice, not like I was counting though. We got onto the conversation with cheap, talk sugar coated with the word “catch up” (wateva that is). We spoke about life and that’s me saying I got quizzed with questions like are you happy (how about some dic$%? ) Can I see you sometime I miss you (can I get you to some dic$%?) and a bunch of other Blah, Blah, Blahs…
During that whole synergy I realised I had to throw in some dog tactics (give a dog a dog to dog a dog) I decided to speak about the man of my dreams who happens not to be a dog… In his act of kindness he persuaded “Tell me more”. As you can imagine, I didn’t hesitate to continue with my days of our lives kind of story or should I say All you need is love and nothing else. I was on a roll.
Then there was silence and more silence, friend where is the wow!!!? , where is the I’m happy for you? Where is the when you getting married? Are you still there? I inquired ..and yes he was still on the phone alright..Chocking to his discomfort he began telling me about how lucky my boyfriend was and how he wishes he would have been in his shoes. I was like OMG he is “sooooo” sweet. I being naive at most, I didn’t read between the lines that he was just another dog in a different pair of pants.
Some of you might probably be thinking I’m over analytical…Over analytical my foot!! Ladies you should always beware of the dogs, Lol and no matter how we try to sugar coat this, guys can neva be just friends with you. Its just the truth…Guys don’t just want to hang out…We are prey they are always trying to get between and fly out at the speed of lightening but I guess it all make sense coz, like they say “give a dog a bad name”
