That someone will use our bank details -or card- to make purchases without our consent, will always be a worrying issue.

When a card loses its validity, we must renew it and there is a plastic that apparently will no longer serve.

However, despite the increasing number of technologies and security systems in bank cards, , some online collection systems could receive a number old card just by changing the expiration date.

So even today, we need to cut it to pieces, making sure to get rid of all of its security features.

Magnetic stripe

Although less used, they can still use it to make some payments. Cut it in different directions to make sure it is useless.

Chip

This element basically contains all the information of your plastic. It is essential that you destroy it, it cannot go unnoticed.

Card number

Both the one in front, and the one in the back (security), must be cut enough, so that it is difficult to rearm the sequence for any scammer.

It never hurts to take care of your finances, even in small details, such as the treatment of your expired card. For this, it is recommended to cut it into at least 15 pieces. Enough to override all your verification systems.
