The Mike Sonko show on JKL hosted by Jeff Koinange on Citizen TV was cut short unceremoniously after things went out of control at the station.
The viral interview which kicked off after the 9pm news , was largely centred on controversial leadership between the Nairobi Governor and his Women Rep Easter Passaris.
Sonko, was trying to show why he needed not to apologize to MP Passaris following Sonko’s rude gesture to her during Madaraka day.
“She (Esther Passaris) was under instructions from a senior officer in the office of the president to attack me in public… she was paid. Passaris is misleading Kenyans; I do pick her calls. She made allegations against me and I had a right to reply,” said Sonko.
Sonko said that the media house was biased, when director of the show Monica Kiragu ordered the show to stop due to Sonko’s conduct on TV.
He came loaded with files, audio tapes among other evidences to prove his point on TV about Passaris and other allegations
Passaris was also accused by Sonko of taking away 10 million from Sonko and promised to pay out of court settlement, the money is still in question.
Sonko claims also that Passaris sought a double per diem from the county, despite being offered by the National Assembly while traveling to USA.
At one point, Sonko went out of hand, and almost took control of the show.
“Don’t ask me another question before I answer the one you did…. Usinipeleke mbio vile Hussein hupeleka Deputy President hapa,” said agitated Sonko
The show was forced to end, with a disappointed Jeff signing off in a low broken tone.
Jeff Koinange, would not forget on 16, November 2016 when he brought Miguna Miguna and Esther Passaris on KTN then hosting JKL at the same time.
“No one wants you anymore Esther and that is the painful truth, you think you’re beautiful but it’s just the colour. Without the colour you are nothing, you are here running after men but no one wants you,” said Miguna.
Sonko wanted to know why Passaris usually call him to go to Intercontinental hotel.
“Hata mimi ni bwana ya mtu na akikuja (Esther Passaris) hapa nitamuuliza kwanini ananiita Intercontinental kwa room (I am also someones husband and when she comes I will ask why she called me into a room at Intercontinental Hotel)… we want leaders who respect families,” he said
