On Tuesday, photos of West Pokot County boss Prof. John Lonyangapuo went viral on social media as Kenyans rebuked his act of feasting in front of hungry looking pupils.
Most of the views pointed to disgrace from the governor who is seen having breakfast made of tea and bread as pupils watched from a distance.
Director of the Governor’s Press Service for West Pokot County Joylene Singoei admitted the social media mistake adding that the social media feed only posted the photos of the governor eating yet the kids had eaten earlier before the governor arrived.
“The person who took the photo only concentrated on the high table. The governor had arrived late which was the reason why he is seen taking breakfast at that time. The initial plan was to have breakfast together with the children,” Singoei told Kenyans.co.ke.
