Prominent car dealer and X (formerly Twitter) influencer Khalif Kairo has finally broken his silence following his release from remand, where he had been held since March. The flamboyant businessman, known for his luxury car business and outspoken online persona, shared a reflective message about his time behind bars, calling it one of the most difficult experiences of his life.
Kairo was re-arrested earlier this year after several clients accused him of fraud, alleging he failed to deliver vehicles they had paid for or issue refunds. The legal troubles, which sparked heated online debates, saw him spend weeks in custody as investigations continued.
In a video shared shortly after his release, Kairo described jail life as mentally and emotionally taxing. Speaking alongside Nairobi County’s Chief Officer for Environment, Geoffrey Mosiria, Kairo admitted that while the experience was hard, it taught him valuable life lessons and brought him closer to his faith.
“It was very tough. I mean, it has been very tough. It has been a little hard. But we thank God, He has been very faithful. We managed. I have seen very bad things, but God is continuing to restore, and we are back to work,” Kairo said.
Mosiria, who met Kairo at a popular Nairobi café, encouraged him to remain private as he rebuilds his life. He also advised the businessman to stay focused and avoid distractions, including public relationships, which he described as potential setbacks.
Despite the controversy surrounding his legal woes, Kairo is already back in business and appears determined to regain the trust of his clients. Known not just for his car dealership but also for being a licensed pilot and digital influencer, Kairo seems committed to turning a new page.
His return has reignited conversations about redemption and the power of second chances in the business world, especially in Kenya’s fast-paced online economy. With many watching to see how he navigates this next chapter, all eyes are now on Kairo’s comeback.
