In the northern part of Nairobi, residents and business were treated to a rare moment of blackout close to hours.
Business opted for power back tools such as generators. This also occured in parts of Mombasa and Mount Kenya.
Through their statement, Technical hitch is to be blamed.
“A technical fault occurred at a Kenya Power substation in Ndenderu (Nairobi North Substation) this morning cutting off supplies from Olkaria geothermal fields to the City and causing a power outage …” it said in a statement.
However power has been restored back by early afternoon
