Oscar winning actress Lupita Nyong’o has been called out by a former People magazine entertainment writer for being “snappish or just rude.”
Sara Hammel, a long-time writer (over 14 years) of the US publication, released a semi-memoir titled Red Carpet Regret: Confessions of a cynical celebrity journalist, in which she talks about meeting and interviewing celebrities.
She names Richard Gere, Alan Cumming, Jon Bon Jovi and Lupita Nyong’o as celebrities who are just rude or snappish.
However, this information may be taken with a pinch of salt as Hammel quit People a few weeks ago with a public resignation letter calling out celebrities and their publicists.

Late last year, there were also reports from the Daily Mail that the 12 Years A Slave Oscar winner was “a diva who is completely overshadowing her co-stars on the Broadway-bound play Eclipsed with her backstage antics.
According to the magazine, her co-stars could barely stand to work with her. An unnamed source said she refused to go to lunch with the other cast members and tried to get a different dressing room at the theatre.
And in January 2015, reality star Kenya Moore said the actress gave her the cold shoulder at a Golden Globes afterparty.
She tweeted: “Lots of people were so cool @taylorswift13 was so sweet but @Lupita_Nyongo refused 2 take pics After 2 movies #girlbye”
