A Somali man identified as Bashir Mohamed pulled a manhood move and wedded two brides on 22nd of June at Sinai village in Ahmed Dhagah district.
Even though polygamy is allowed in Somali culture, most of the wedding invites had never attended such a wedding with two brides at ago.
But Mohammed did it, and the reason, he did not want either to feel jealous instead feel equally loved by him.
Then how did he convince the two brides to take oath on the same day?
Talking to BBC Swahili, Mohammed noted that it took him long to persuade and bring them together.
“I used to bring them together to socialize with me at my home, I used to say openly to both of them that I love them. They were satisfied,” he told BBC Somali.
He also told BBC Swahili that his idea of marrying two ladies also was pushed by his desire to have many children in his marriage.
He also encouraged men to go polygamous and wed two wives.
“I will encourage other men to do it, if they can afford it,” he added.
