The Stuttgart court in Germany had to intervene in a case of “honorable intentions” in which a man paid his neighbor to get his wife pregnant.
Everything seemed to indicate that Demetrius Soupolos of 29 years and his wife, a former beauty queen, wanted to have children but his doctor told him that he was sterile.
Demetrius went to work to find a way to get his wife pregnant because she complained about his condition.
This is how I envisioned hiring his neighbor, 34-year-old Frank Maus, to “impregnate” his wife. The plan seemed right to them since Maus was married and had two children (hence his reproductive system worked correctly) and resembled the beauty queen’s own husband.
The transaction was about Ksh. 2 million and for three nights a week, for six months, Maus tried desperately to get the pregnant woman. A total of 72 times.
When his own wife complained, the neigbour only said, “I do not like this more than you, I only do it for the money, I hope you understand.”
In the end Maus and the husband got tired of the situation and the stallion himself went to the doctor to see what was happening to him. The same doctor announced that he was also sterile.
This announcement was taken by surprise by everyone, except for Frank’s wife, who confessed that this was not the real father of their two children.
Now Soupolos is suing Maus for tricking him into believing he could have children and wants his money back, but not his dignity. The defender says that he has never guaranteed pregnancy, only to do his best.
The case was last heard in 2014.
