Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo has declared that she will not support her fellow party mate Glady Wanga who is the current Homa Bay women representative.
Millie said in her viral post that ‘electing’ Wanga as the governor would be the ‘biggest mistake’
“Gladys would be the worst mistake Home Bay would make for the choice of governor. She has not done well with the National Government Affirmative Action fund and the ever-consuming Sacco,” Odhiambo wrote on Facebook.
Even as the government was collecting support to improve the number of women in top leadership position, Millie spared no effort to one of her fellow and affirmed that she will not support her in any means.
“I hereby declare you do not have my support. You can unleash all the online warriors in heaven and on earth but it only makes my resolve firm. I do not support you, period,” Odhiambo added.
Wanga and her fellow MPs fellow MPs John Mbadi and Opondo Kaluma are some of the top politicians who have started salivating for the seat currently held by Governor Cyprian Awiti.
Few days ago, President Uhuru Kenyatta, his Deputy William Ruto and National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale had rallied support from Kenyans as they look to enforce the two-third gender rule seeking to increase number of women in parliament
