Wendy is currently working on a project to help support children affected by ringworm.

Ringworm is a problem in countries where personal hygiene is poor.Skin diseases are given less attention among the global illness compared with other diseases that cause mortality, like HIV/AIDS,community acquired pneumonias and TB.however, skin problems are among the most common diseases in communities in tropical areas.

Skin diseases are common in primary schools in both urban and rural schools, that ignoring them is not a viable option.

Children are affected most, adding to the burden of disease among an already vulnarable group.

A world fit for children goal states that”children should be physically healthy, mentally alert, emotionally secure, socially competent and ready to learn’ and this cannot be achived when our young children are affected by ringworm.

Through the project Wendy hopes to help reduce spread of skin disease in Kisumu county and other parts of Kenya.
