It is a matter of weeks before the reigning Miss World crown holder Mireia Lalaguna visits Kenya, and there is excitement among the entertainment fraternity.
Questions are, however, being asked as to what role the State will play in her visit.
Though plans are under way to get the government involvement during the visit.
However that there was a very high likelihood that the high-powered team will meet the President.
The Miss World’s itinerary includes visits with cleft lip and palate patients treated under the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ banner.
She will also be rewarding Miss World Kenya 2014 Idah Nguma with Sh10 million for winning in the Beauty with a Purpose category of the pageant – during the finals held in Sanya, China.
The visit by the world’s most beautiful woman has been organised by the Miss World pageant holders in London in conjunction with Terry Mungai, whose organisation runs the Miss World activities in Kenya. This means that it can only take a courtesy call to have Lalaguna and her team meet President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Mireia Lalaguna Royo is a Spanish actress, model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss World Spain 2015 and in December the same year won Miss World 2015 in Sanya. She is the first Miss World from Spain
