A Comedian Turned Businessman

Mulamwah first gained prominence through his witty performances on the Churchill Show. The trained clinical officer used his platform to establish himself as a brand, securing lucrative endorsements and building a loyal fan base. However, Mulamwah didn’t stop at comedy—he expanded his horizons by investing in a boda boda business, which has since become a significant source of income.

A Fleet Worth Millions

In 2021, Mulamwah revealed that he owned five motorcycles, which marked the beginning of his transport business journey. Despite facing setbacks, such as the theft of one of his boda bodas early in 2021, he persevered and steadily grew his fleet. By September of the same year, he had expanded to 10 motorcycles, and today, he proudly owns over 40.

Each boda boda generates an average of KSh 400 daily, translating to a monthly income of approximately KSh 480,000. With an estimated cost of KSh 100,000 per motorcycle, Mulamwah’s fleet is now valued at around KSh 4 million.

Advocating for Financial Literacy

Mulamwah has also used his platform to educate young people about financial literacy. He often advises against purchasing motorcycles through loans, highlighting how high-interest rates can trap riders in poverty. He shared a breakdown of costs, showing how a motorcycle purchased for KSh 100,000 in cash could end up costing KSh 223,000 through a loan.

“And you are still wondering why our youths are still poor even after owning a boda boda. Let’s enlighten our youths,” he said, emphasizing the importance of smart financial decisions.

Responding to Critics

Recently, Mulamwah addressed claims that he was broke, with allegations that he owed millions in house and car loans. The comedian shut down the rumors by showcasing his multiple income streams, which include his boda boda business, YouTube revenue, endorsements, and over 100 Skiza tunes.

An Academic Star

Mulamwah’s achievements extend beyond business and comedy. The St. Anthony’s Boys High School alumnus scored an impressive A- in his KCSE exams, with straight As in mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry, and computer studies. He later pursued a Bachelor of Nursing at Moi University and completed his internship at Kenyatta National Hospital, demonstrating his versatility and work ethic.

A Role Model for Many

Mulamwah’s journey is a testament to the power of hard work, resilience, and diversification. From entertaining crowds on stage to running a successful transport business, he has proven that dreams can be achieved through dedication and smart investments.

His story inspires many young people to leverage their talents while seeking opportunities to grow their wealth and secure a brighter future.
