A gallant police officer, Joash Ombati, who was taking care of NIC bank in Westlands has been praised for his brave act of chasing down suspected criminals and recovering stolen money.
Witnesses accounted that a man from Voi who had traveled to Nairobi to buy goods he had seen on OLX Kenya was allegedly thrown out of the moving vehicle after handing over Ksh.400K to the suspects .
The ‘vendors’ who had made the man travel miles to Nairobi turned into robbers and before throwing him out of the car.
A concerned Ombati sensing danger, jumped into a taxi and gave a police chase to the criminals. he solely arrested the suspect gang ring and recovered the victim’s cash.
The officer was also praised for not injuring the suspects with bullet wounds
