If you have ever visited Nairobi city down-town, you will definitely feel unsafe crossing some points and some lonely streets.

The shocking fact is, these gangs who used to terrorize from lonely streets and specified points have come out of their hiding in full glare and gear.

They are now robbing their targets especially those from Mpesa shops and banks in broad day light as other busy bodies watch. Students carrying laptop bags also are not yet spared.

The gang is largely formed from the rag-tag group dubbed ’42 brothers’. What is shocking also is the fact that these gangs are stealing in full glare of able and well conditioned CCTV cameras positioned at all corners i the CBD.

The ’42 bothers’ must cut a piece of the cloth of the victim so that they can claim their loot when it is being shared. Consequently, this will prove that they took part in the looting.

The Nairobi county government led by Mike Sonko as the governor, have provided a knee-jerk reaction by dispatching uniformed and casually dressed police officers to crack down the gang.

But this is not yet the solution needed, a complex idea needs to be implemented with urgency across the Nairobi county area
