Rapper Nonini also known as Hubert Nakitare has been unveiled as the new Safaricom data bundle brand ambassador after the musician signed a six months contract at Nairobi’s Micheal Joseph Centre.
“This partnership is meant to open a new chapter to show artistes how they can make themselves a brand. It is important for them to know that they can go beyond their music. I hope that it will open up opportunities for corporate to endorse artistes,” said Nonini.
Safaricom through Charles Kare, Head of Consumer Segments added that they were committed to suporting local artistes.
“We are very big on Kenyan talents and arts as you can see from projects like Twaweza. This contract seeks to push the idea of both brands and to support Nonini’s foundation by telling its story in an authentic way. Safaricom is big on supporting diversity, which means we have a common platform,” he said.
