She questioned why anyone would find it strange for a husband and wife to attend events together, stating, “For Jehovah God says they shall become one flesh, and they will be with each other and they will not feel ashamed. So what is wrong with me and my husband?”
Dorcas went on to reject the idea that she dominates her husband, describing the notion as absurd. “When he gives me a chance to speak, he is not giving me a chance because I hear that I sit on him. How can you sit on a man like this? A man who is causing a whole nation not to sleep? A man that even the president, the deputy president, and members of parliament hardly say anything else about? I also listen. You are such liars,” she added, drawing more laughter from the audience.
