On 20th February 2019, Kisii county key health facility Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisii County was upgraded thanks to the touring Head of State.
President Uhuru Kenyatta under the accompany of other key leaders in the society commissioned other projects as well as launching various facilities including a male ward with capacity of 200 patients, funeral home, medical school among other projects.
DP William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Chief Justice David Maraga and Interior CS Fred Matiangí with host Kisii County governor James Ongwae were among key leaders present at the busy event
President Uhuru assured hosting head of county that national government will support upgrading of Suneka Airstrip, construction of 300-kilometre road network worth Sh14bn and paying debts of tea farmers once audit is done.
Both DP Ruto and Raila Odinga lauded the handshake project
