Detectives drawn from Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit and the Transnational Organized Crime Unit of the Directorate arrested 21 strippers  and three other persons on 19th of July in two Westlands’ night clubs.

The detectives all from the Criminal Investigation department raided the two clubs located on Mogotio Road in Westland.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said that the 21 ladies who were being exploited had been trafficked from Nepal to Kenya.

The three other persons arrested will be charged under The Counter-Trafficking in Persons Act.

This comes after Interior CS Fred Matiang’i issued a direction that all foreigners working in Kenya should all be issued with working permits
