Police officers who brutally assaulted University of Nairobi students to be charged for torture.

This follows after IPOA confirmed that the police officers brutally assaulted University of Nairobi students along Lower State House Road on April 2 as captured on video .

Barely a month ago, UON students had resulted to a protest after the announcement of Babu Owino as he was relected to the post of the Chair of SONU leader.

Anti-Riot Unit were then dispatched to calm the situation.

The varsity facility was later closed down indefinitely.
