Hilary Mutyambai has been appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta as the new Inspector General of Police.
His appointment will depend on his parliamentary approval. The ex police boss Joseph Boinnet was appointed to serve as the CAS in the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife.

- Brig. Vincent Naisho Loonena – Director General of the Kenya Coast Guard Service.
- Brig. John Migui Waweru – Director General of the Kenya Wildlife Service.
Mutyambai is the current deputy director of National Counter-Terrorism Centre
