She said, “I think you are going to agree with me that the problem with Kenyan football is the money because after these guys were promised KSh 1 million for a win, and KSh 500,000 for a draw, they are performing exceptionally. Victor Wanyama agreed, stating, “Ah, somehow true, because you know money is everything. It’s a motivation, and motivation is everything. You can see what he has done since he took over.”
When asked about the tough match against Morocco, Wanyama acknowledged the challenge but expressed confidence in the team’s preparation.
“Yes, I expected it very tough game for Morocco, and it was a tough game.”
Wanyama also praised Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy for his tactical approach, which he credited for the team’s positive results. “We have McCarthy and his tactics paid off,” he added.
