Kenyan rapper Dennis Kaggia, popularly known as DNA, has appealed to event promoters to book him for December gigs, emphasizing his experience, stage presence, and ability to deliver exceptional performances. The Banjuka crooner expressed frustration at being repeatedly overlooked, arguing that his professionalism and crowd engagement set him apart in the local music scene.

DNA stated that he does not require extravagant demands once booked. He requested a fair six-figure fee as compensation, describing it as reasonable given his experience and performance standards. He also highlighted his flexibility regarding performance locations, noting that he is willing to perform anywhere in Kenya or nearby African countries, provided travel logistics are manageable. “I give the best shows. I don’t drink alcohol, and I don’t ask for unnecessary riders. I’m only requesting a clean six-figure payment. I am ready to perform on December 31, anywhere in Kenya or not too far from Africa for ease of travel,” DNA said in a video shared online.

The appeal gained momentum when fellow rapper CMB Prezzo, born Jackson Ngecu Makini, publicly supported DNA. On Wednesday, December 17, Prezzo reposted DNA’s video on Instagram, urging promoters and fans to act on the request. “254 promoters! Hear a brother’s cry. A clean six figures is all he’s asking for. December 31. HBO: Help a brother out. Tag him and tag all the promoters,” Prezzo wrote.

Prezzo’s backing was met with praise on social media, with fans and fellow artists commending him for advocating for a colleague. His intervention highlights the supportive nature of the Kenyan music industry, where artists often use their platforms to help peers secure opportunities.

DNA’s appeal underscores his commitment to delivering high-quality performances and his readiness to entertain audiences during end-of-year events. With Prezzo’s public endorsement, promoters now have a clear call to action to consider booking one of Kenya’s seasoned performers for December shows.

This collaboration between industry peers reflects the importance of solidarity within the music community, particularly during peak entertainment periods when performance opportunities are in high demand.
