During the voting process in the Senate, the accusations against Monda were assessed individually. On the charge of gross violation of the constitution or any other law, 39 senators voted against Monda, while three attempted to defend him. One senator abstained from voting on this particular charge. Similarly, on the accusation of abuse of office, 39 senators sided with the county assembly’s decision, with three senators dissenting.
Regarding gross misconduct, 35 senators found Monda guilty, with seven senators voting against the charge. Additionally, on crimes under national law, 32 senators found the deputy governor guilty, while 10 senators opposed this finding.
