Lipa Na Mpesa will be a good target for Safaricom where the customers balance is supposed to read the same on the card, just as a master card and a visa card.
The project launched in Nakuru has been on piloting for close to 6 month of success.
Its lack of integration with master card and Visa has been viewed as a form of rivalry to spearhead their maximum gain in the market.
The product is currently being piloted in Nakuru, with merchant recruitment ongoing and the telco will look towards onboarding more merchants to the service.
