Nairobi County Senator Johnson Sakaja and Samburu West Member of Parliament Naisula Lesuuda were honored by Apolitical to be among the top 100 most influential leaders in the world.
“They are at the center of policy-making who are exerting influence on the international stage. But we also shine the spotlight on those quietly transforming the face of government at the local or national level,” said Apolitical- London based global policy platforms for government agency.
Sakaja joined politics back in 2013 when he was barely 27 years old. Then he was the party Chair of The National Alliance party which President Uhuru Kenyatta used to win his Presidential first term.
Lesuuda, a former Journalist from KBC, joined politics when she turned around her career into preaching peace to dangerous pastoral communities who often clashed on one another.
