Do you know what mothers say: ‘Be careful what you upload to the Internet! The case happened about 3 years ago, one night in March 2015, when Cheyenne Rose Antoine ended the life of her friend, Brittney Gargol, strangling her with this improvised weapon hours after posing for this photograph, which went on Facebook. The defendant left the belt next to the victim and after checking that it was the same as the one that had been hours before, was arrested and has now been sentenced to 7 years in prison.

What happened that night?

It is incomprehensible that two friends as inseparable (as they said they were) became angry so much that one would end the life of the other hours after uploading a photo together with happy faces. What happened to make the story take such an unexpected turn?

Apparently, the mixture of alcohol, marijuana and a heated discussion caused Cheyenne to become angry enough to wear her belt to end her friend’s life. Despite trying to hide what happened and sought an alibi, the evidence of the crime added to the investigation that the police did on Facebook, ended up bringing the truth to light. She confessed to having done it, but she does not remember how it happened.

Because she has shown repentance and acknowledged that what she did was wrong, the judge has decided to sentence her to 7 years in prison. A penalty that is short for the relatives of the deceased.
