Shock As Java House Customer Finds Snail In His Meal

One of Kenya’s leading eateries has come under sharp criticism after a customer found a slug in his food.

In a Twitter post, Fred Chumo, a lawyer by profession, said he found a snail (actually a slug) after ordering a salad at Java House.

This is what he posted:

Java

Shortly after he posted his tweet, Kenyans On Twitter (KOT) launched a scathing attack on the restaurant chain as it is not the first time the restaurant is being accused of the same.

A similar incident happened in 2014 after a customer found a live worm in the vegetables he had ordered. He later posted a video on YouTube narrating his ordeal.

Responding to the claims, Java House said they had taken the complaint seriously and were trying to get in touch with the affected customer to find out more.

@TheBahati Hi, we apologize if you felt that. We take every complain seriously. We’re trying to contact the guest to find out more. 1/2 ^AR

Here are some of the reactions from Kenyans:

Many of us have lost our appetite for Java food after that snail debacle.

On that Java issue, with some #KOT calling it a snail & others a slug, the recent USIU jokes come to mind ?

First the rat now a snail. Java is begging customers to stop going there. This is now a problem.

Java’s response to this snail story has been very sluggish. Java should come out of its shell before things get salty

So what has happened to my most adored coffe point Java? How can a snail be in salad and you go ahead and serve it? pic.twitter.com/OHzpC3cIVP

Lets hope Java can bounce back after this slimy experience.
