Valentine’s Day is finally here. In less than 24 hours, a red cloud of love will engulf the universe. The adrenaline is rising after every second. In fact, no money in the world can put off this day. Whether you are in love, have never been in love or have been there before, you will notice the scent of romance all over. Preparations are in top gear. From online gift purchases to hotel bookings, no one wants to be left behind. Nonetheless, like previous 14th days of February, it will have tears and happiness, pain and laughter. Interestingly, shocking things will happen on this day, even though it falls on a holy day, Sunday. Here is what will leave you lip tight when the dust of love settles.

Breakups

Do not be surprised to be single after Valentine’s Day. While many people celebrate love on this day, others say ‘enough is enough’ as they walk away. Why would you choose to break up on a lovers’ day? For simple reasons…you want to make it memorable and unexpected.

Cheats on the loose

Are some people cursed or bewitched? Well, Valentines gives many a chance to cheat on their loved ones. They will come up with all sorts of excuses to miss a date only to spend time with ‘mpango wa kando’ (concubines). Be on the lookout. If he has excused himself on Sunday, it would be good to just find out WHY- with caps lock.

Sex is a must

Though no polling company will release figures of people who will have engaged in coital escapades, many ladies will be laid on this day. Is it bad or good to do it on Valentine’s Day? The answer is NO and YES depending on why you are doing it. So, before you lower your ‘nest’ babe, think twice.

Many will lose their virginity

Needless to mention, many people partake of the unleavened fruit on Valentine’s Day. But this could be a turning point in your life. Why? The next point explains the danger you would be putting yourself in if you decide to break your hymen on Valentine’s Day.

Pregnancy, STIs, and HIV

For those who will indulge sexually, here are possible scenarios: Firstly, you are likely to conceive. Are you ready to be a mother? Definitely no. You are under the influence of valentine spirits if at all they do exist. Secondly, a serious venereal infection awaits you especially if safe sex is a taboo to you. And lastly…you may as well ‘catch’ HIV. So? Shouldn’t people have fun down there? PLAY SAFE.

BOTTOM LINE: Valentine’s Day is a single day and should not change the course of your life for no good reason. As you celebrate love, do not forge to use your brain.
