Silas Chepkeres Jakakimba, former aide to Raila Odinga and a well-known public figure, has announced his separation from his wife, Florence Adhiambo. “After careful consideration and much reflection, we – Silas Jakakimba and Florence Adhiambo – have made the difficult but certain and oftentimes extremely considerate decision to separate,” he wrote.
Jakakimba emphasized that their choice to separate was made together, with mutual respect, and guided by input from close family members and spiritual leaders. “This decision was reached mutually and, with respect for one another, noting with deep appreciation and gratitude, the immense love and support from both sides of our innermost families and spiritual leaders as we sought to make this decision public,” he added.
In his message, Jakakimba also appealed for privacy as they both navigate this new chapter of their lives, stating that the well-being of their family remains their top priority. He made it clear that they would not be offering any additional public comments or interviews regarding the matter.
