Everything we love has much more sugar than we can imagine, which is why WHO (World Health Organization) recommends that the consumption of free sugars is limited to less than 10% of total caloric intake.

Excessive consumption of sugar can seriously affect our health and promote the onset of diseases such as obesity or diabetes, but how do you know where your limit is?

Youth Village Kenya we collect 6 signs that tell you that you are eating more sugar than you should.
If you have these signs, you should reduce the sugar in your diet

1.You are tired all day: when we eat a lot of sugar, there is an initial peak of insulin that gives the body an enormous energy sensation. But that sensation only lasts a few minutes and your body returns to a state of general tiredness.

2.You have granites: excess sugar is also reflected in the skin. If the intake is not controlled, the appearance of granites or impurities, can even lead to problems of acne or rosacea.

3.You need to eat sweet: the craving to eat something that contains sugar does not disappear and is almost necessary in your day to day. Sugar acts like any drug, it creates addiction; The more you eat, the more you need.

4.You are moody: eating a lot of sugar can cause an excess of bad character and lots of mood swings in a short time, which will not be relieved until no more sugar is consumed.

5.You have cavities: excess sugar can alter the pH of our mouth, so it favors the bacteria to grow and multiply, leading to painful cavities.

6.You can not think straight: sugar intake is a potential risk of malfunctioning of cognitive abilities and intellectual development in general. That is why you can feel “slow” mentally.
