Harambee Stars striker Dennis Oliech was appointed to a lucrative job position by Nairobi County Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
Sonko announced on 17th July that he had appointed Oliech with his fellow former Harambee Stars captain Musa Otieno as members of the County Sports Committee.

The duo will be joined along other 10 committee members who will tasked with promoting and developing sports activities in Nairobi county.
“The formation of the committee will add value to my administration’s plans for the youth in the county even as we strive to complete state-of-the-art FIFA standard stadiums in Dandora, Ziwani, Woodley, Riruta and Kihumbini estates,” added Sonko.

Financially struggling Oliech and Musa Otieno joins Allan Wanga as one of the ex Kenya’s iconic soccer players working for county governments.
In January 2018, Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Opranya appointed Wanga as the Sports Director in the county
