Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has sent tongues wagging after he threatened to nominate another ‘Miguna’ if he was ‘pressurized’ to get a new assistant.
“Mimi nilichagua deputy gavana miezi kidogo iliyopita, jina ikaenda assembly ikaangushwa sasa ningependa mnipatiwe time yakuconsult sitaki kuleta mtu hapa anisumbue…Kwa sababu mimi ni mtu wa Jubilee naconsult party na Rais, saa hii hakuna presha ile wakati walinipea presha nikawapatia Miguna. Mimi sitaki kupewa presha nikipewa presha nitawaletea Miguna mwingine muangushe kwa hivyo tutangoja Rais arudi tuconsult,” Sonko said
Sonko was talking to press during his late dad’s anniversary in Mua town.
The flamboyant governor had his Miguna Miguna nomination thwarted down by MCAs in county assembly whe he tried to propose him to be Polycarp Igathe’s successor.
