Citizen TV journalist Stephen Letoo has captured public attention after unveiling his impressive agribusiness ventures in Narok East. Known for his sharp suits and incisive political reporting, Letoo surprised many fans by swapping his newsroom attire for gumboots and farmwear to showcase his growing agricultural empire.

Letoo recently took to social media to share a series of videos highlighting his hands-on involvement in managing three massive farms. The clips revealed expansive fields of maize, wheat, and potatoes, offering a rare glimpse into the journalist’s life beyond the television screen.

In one video, Letoo walked through lush rows of maize, with the vast Narok countryside stretching behind him. Another video showed him inspecting an enormous wheat plantation, with acres of golden crops extending to the horizon. He captioned the video, “Inspecting my wheat farm today. Making agriculture attractive,” showing pride in his work.

The third clip offered a more interactive look at his daily farm routine. Letoo was seen riding on a tractor alongside a driver, helping plough a field in preparation for potato planting season. The visual transformation from media personality to farmer left many of his followers impressed.

Letoo’s venture into agribusiness has drawn praise from industry professionals. Veteran journalist and media trainer Faith Ngure described the move as a smart and timely decision. She noted that in today’s unpredictable media environment, journalists should consider diversifying their income streams.

“In today’s media landscape, it’s wise for journalists to invest in side businesses. Agriculture, like what Letoo is doing, not only offers financial security but also provides a practical retirement plan. It keeps them grounded and connected to real societal issues,” Ngure said.

Stephen Letoo’s journey serves as an inspiring example of how media personalities can leverage their public profiles to explore ventures beyond broadcasting. His successful transition into farming reflects both resilience and foresight, reminding many that diversification is key to long-term financial stability.
