Kenyan content creator Terence Creative has silenced critics in spectacular fashion after surprising his wife, Milly Chebby, with a sleek black Range Rover Sport HSE—just months after being mocked for gifting her a modest Toyota Vitz.

Earlier this year, the internet had a field day when Terence, whose real name is Lawrence Macharia, gifted Milly a sky-blue Vitz in what was meant to be a heartfelt gesture. Though Milly received the gift with overwhelming joy and gratitude, some social media users ridiculed the purchase, claiming it didn’t match the comedian’s status or financial ability.

In a video that circulated widely online, Milly had danced toward the Vitz with tears in her eyes, calling the gift a sign of divine provision. “I never expected this, especially with how we’ve been planning financially,” she said at the time, praising Terence for his consistent support and love.

But the couple’s latest move has turned mockery into admiration. On Thursday, July 31, they hosted a touching prayer-filled unveiling ceremony for Milly’s new luxury SUV. A video posted on Instagram shows the couple in formal attire—Milly radiant in a red dress, Terence dashing in a tuxedo—standing in solemn prayer alongside a preacher. Draped in a black cloth and adorned with red flowers, the Range Rover Sport stood behind them, waiting to be revealed.

When the cloth was pulled off, Milly gasped in awe at the sight of the black Range Rover Sport HSE, which bore a message in place of the license plate: “In His own time, He makes everything beautiful.” They sealed the moment with a kiss, and Terence proudly walked her through the car’s features, celebrating not just the gift, but the journey behind it.

“This moment right here is a testimony,” Milly captioned the video. “It didn’t happen when we wanted, but it happened right on time. What God cannot do does not exist. Now we stand as proof that grace wins.”

The new Range Rover is estimated to be worth around KSh 7 million, according to local automotive listings.

Milly took a moment to thank their fans, especially those who stood by them during the backlash. “If you’re still waiting on God, hold on. He’s never late. Come see what the Lord has done. Your turn is coming too.”

Fans and fellow celebrities flooded the comments section with messages of support and congratulations. Muthoni wa Mukiri wrote, “Wow. Congratulations Milly. Enjoy.” DJ Mo Kenya added, “See God.” Media personality Azeezah simply said, “I’m cutting onions.”

The emotional celebration comes as more Kenyans are embracing public displays of appreciation between spouses. In a similar recent event, a wealthy Kisumu businessman gifted his 22-year-old wife a 2020 Land Cruiser Prado TXL worth KSh 5.9 million, as a token of love after she gave birth to their child. The vehicle, purchased in full, was handed over in a grand ceremony captured by car dealer and influencer Petronila Adongo.

As Terence and Milly continue to inspire fans with their faith, humility, and unity, their story stands as a reminder that growth takes time—and sometimes, the best response to criticism is simply to keep moving forward with grace.
