The 2024 Tusker Oktobafest has kicked off its third weekend of festivities, promising an exciting lineup of performances from some of Kenya’s top musical talents, including Khaligraph Jones and Mejja. This year, the festival has expanded its reach beyond Nairobi, celebrating Kenya’s rich cultural diversity by hosting events in multiple locations across the country.

Since its inception in 2019, Tusker Oktobafest has attracted thousands of revelers nationwide, transforming into a vibrant celebration of beer, music, and culture. The festival’s senior brand manager, Brigid Wambua, shared insights on the event’s significance, emphasizing its role in bringing people together. “Tusker Oktobafest continues to bring people together to celebrate our shared love for beer, music, and culture. We look forward to delivering unforgettable moments and incredible performances across different locations,” Wambua stated.

The festival has featured a diverse lineup, showcasing various music genres, from Rhumba to hip hop and Afropop, reflecting the rich tapestry of Kenya’s musical heritage. Highlights from previous weekends include nostalgic performances by legendary group Les Wanyika, who captivated audiences with timeless hits, and electrifying sets from Khaligraph Jones in Eldoret.

The Oktobafest kicked off with activations in Nairobi and Eldoret, spreading to other regions like Kisumu, Nanyuki, and Juja. Upcoming events will take place at new venues, including Orchid along Ngong Road, New Sarvid on Kiambu Road, New Big Tree in Mombasa, and Runda’s Bar XO.

This weekend’s events, scheduled for Saturday, November 2, will feature an exciting roster of artists, including Nviiri the Storyteller, Wanjine, Kamande wa Kioi, Timona Mburu, Ndovu Kuu, Nadia Mukami, Fathermoh, Ayrosh, and more. A carefully curated lineup of DJs and MCs will ensure that the energy remains high throughout the festivities.

In addition to the live performances, attendees can enjoy promotions such as discounts and online flash sales, as well as a selection of over ten beer brands from the EABL portfolio, including Tusker Lager, Tusker Malt, and Guinness.

As Tusker Oktobafest continues to celebrate Kenya’s vibrant culture and musical talent, it remains a highlight of the country’s entertainment calendar, bringing together communities in a joyous celebration of life and culture. The festival’s commitment to showcasing local talent and fostering community spirit ensures that it will remain a cherished event for years to come.
