Uhuru Rewards Msando’s Widow With Lucrative State Job

Ms Eva Buyu was appointed to be part of the members of the Export Processing Zones Authority board for three years.

Ms Buyu was wife to Chris Msando, former  Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) ICT Manager who was found murdered days to election day during 2017 August elections.

The widow was among several Presidential appointees on the gazette notice dateted 21st September. Among them were largely election losers of 2017 August elections

Former Senate Speaker Ekwee Ethuro was appointed to be the chairman of Higher Education Loans Board for a period of five years.

Isaac Hassan who also chaired Kenya’s electoral body would also serve as the chairperson of Kenya Industrial Institute.

Below is the list of new Uhuru’s appointees

  1. Former Vihiga Governor Moses Akaranga- Chairperson Board of Trustees of the National Environment Trust Fund for a period of three years.
  2. Zedekiah Bundotich (Lost Uasin Gichu governors seat)- Sony Sugar Company board chairperson
  3. NASA CEO Norman Magaya- (failed to make it into East African Legislative Assembly )-  board member of Kenya Film Classification Board for three years.
  4. Former Kitui Senator David Musila- chairman of the National Museums of Kenya board for three years.
  5. Former Vihiga MP Yusuf Chanzu-a member of the Board of Directors of the Consolidated Bank of Kenya for three years.
  6. Former Wundanyi MP Thomas Mwadeghu – a member of Financial Assets Authority board for three years.
