Veteran Radio Personality To Be Laid To Rest This Week

The death of the veteran Journalist, Waweru Mburu from Citizen Radio caught Kenyans by surprised on Wednesday, September 28th.

Many Kenyans wondered how he was able to nurse cancer at the same time entertain them on Radio without showing any signs of suffering.

Waweru’s body is expected to leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday, October 7th 2016 for Murang’a Teachers Training College where the funeral service will be hosted.

The burial Mass will proceed to Punda Milia village where he will be laid to rest in Makuyu, Murang’a County.

The vibrant journalist had been praised as one of the most hardworking and passionate journalist with objectivity to be exemplified.

Among those who condoled with his family are Royal Media Services Chairman Dr. S.K Macharia, Vice-Chair Mrs. Gathoni Macharia, Group Managing Director Wachira Waruru, Jacqueline Nyaminde (alias Wilbroda) and Citizen TV’s Willy M. Tuva.

Hehas left behind a widow Bridget Wathira and three children, two sons and one daughter.
