Award-winning journalist and media personality Waihiga Mwaura recently graduated from Daystar University with a Master of Arts in Communication (Media Studies). Mwaura, who is known for his work as a senior lead presenter with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), shared the news on his social media platforms, expressing his gratitude to his wife, family, friends, and professors for their support.
Mwaura’s journey to graduation was not without its challenges. As he mentioned in his post, there were times when he thought he would never finish the program. However, he persevered, motivated by his passion for learning and his desire to make a difference in the world.
God done did it. M.A. in Communication(Media Studies). What a journey this has been, one I thought would never end (story for another day). But here we are. So many people to thank. My beloved Joyce Omondi Waihiga for all the support through this journey. My family, who all encouraged me to never give up. A very helpful group of people at Daystar University. The PhD students who pushed me on. And to anyone I may have forgotten-thank you.
As Malcolm X once said, Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. “
Mwaura’s graduation is a significant achievement, both for himself and for the Kenyan media industry. He is an inspiration to many young journalists and media professionals, who aspire to follow in his footsteps.
Mwaura’s success is a testament to the power of education. As Malcolm X once said, “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” Mwaura is now better equipped to use his platform to inform and inspire others, and to make a positive impact on society.
Congratulations to Waihiga Mwaura on his graduation!
