Kevin Bahati and his wife Diana Marua recently celebrated a milestone in their relationship, marking eight years together. To commemorate the special occasion, the musician surprised his wife with an extravagant gift—a customized pink G-Wagon worth KSh 45 million. The gesture quickly garnered attention, with many praising Bahati for his show of love and commitment. However, the generous gift also sparked a wave of trolling directed at Bahati’s baby mama, Yvette Obura.

After the gifting spree, some netizens flooded Yvette’s comment section with mocking and rude remarks, questioning whether she regretted her past relationship with Bahati. These comments, which included accusations of jealousy and envy, were aimed at Yvette, as many speculated that the extravagant gift to Diana could have triggered feelings of insecurity or resentment.

Yvette, who shares a daughter named Mueni with Bahati, was visibly affected by the online bullying. Despite maintaining a cordial relationship with Diana and acknowledging her as a second mother to Mueni, the trolling became unbearable for the mother of one. In a heartfelt message on her 32nd birthday, Yvette spoke out about the negativity she faced, sharing how the insults and ridicule took a toll on her emotional well-being.

“Even in the midst of ridicule, being a laughing stock, the insults, the trolling, God has kept me. He still extends grace and compassion. May I never fall short of His glory. Happy Birthday Mama Mueni,” she wrote on her birthday post.

Yvette admitted that although she tries to remain strong, sometimes the comments do affect her. “I’m human too love, sometimes it does. They bullied me last week for nothing,” she shared, acknowledging the human side of herself that is vulnerable to online abuse.

Despite the negative comments, many Kenyans showed their support for Yvette, offering words of encouragement and kindness. Social media users consoled the mother of one, reminding her that her worth is not defined by the opinions of others.

One user wrote, “Happy birthday Mama Mueni! They say bullies bully because you’re way better than them. Hakuna kitu watachukua mama keep going. Love you.” Another shared, “You are amazing, beautiful, and blessed. You don’t have to be at the same level with anyone else to be considered blessed. Kila mtu na pace yake.”

On a lighter note, Yvette also celebrated her birthday in style, receiving a flashy gift—a new iPhone 16 Pro Max—which she showed off in a TikTok video with her daughter. The unboxing moment was a heartwarming one, as Mueni helped her mom open the new phone, adding a special touch to the occasion.

As Yvette continues to navigate the challenges of co-parenting with Bahati and Diana, her resilience in the face of online hate serves as a reminder that kindness and understanding should always prevail over negativity.
